WINEMAKER’S NOTE: Deep purple red colour, the nose is aromatic and lifted with a briar-like quality. The palate is tightly wound with great length of flavour with a nice structured finish and fine natural grape tannins to resolve the finish.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS: A warm start to the vintage was moderated by later rains that cooled the region considerably and saw a vintage of fine and consistent quality fruit.
VINEYARDS: Drawn from our northern Margaret River vineyard, hand-picked from a lyre trellis, a rarity these days.
VINIFICATION: Open fermenters plunged twiceÂ daily and irrigated in between times. Run off to barrels at dryness and matured quietly for twelve months before further bottle maturation prior to release.

The Rosa Brook was originally home to a small number of group settlement farmers who pioneered the dairy industry in Margaret River in the 1930’s. Many of the isolated clearings they struggled to tame are now home to some of the region’s prime vineyards. Rosabrook Wines was one of the first wine producing pioneers of the Margaret River wine region.
Owned by Calneggia Family Vineyards, the winemaking philosophy, carefully guided by the Calneggia family and winemaker Brian Fletcher, is to create elegant, fruit driven wines that are attractive whilst young but also will reward patient cellaring when the variety suits further ageing.
