Vintage: 2010 Varieties: 100% Chardonnay Cellaring: 6 – 8 years Tasting Notes: A traditional style of chardonnay with intense tropical flavours and a small layer of toasted oak. This wine is rich and powerful while still displaying theregional cool climate citrus characters combined with a mineral edge. Winemaking: Whole bunch pressing and wild fermentation in French oak barrels, followed by eight months maturation on yeast lees with occasional stirring. Viticultural Notes: The Macedon Ranges region is located 80 kilometres north of Melbourne and 600 metres above sea level. The combination of cool climate and red volcanic soil results in fruit with a great depth of flavour and structure. The 2010 vintage was a warm growing season followed by heavy rain prior to harvest. Technical Data:Alcohol 13.5%
