Description

Millbrook Pinot Noir

Vintage 2013 Region Pemberton 100% Variety Pinot Noir 100%

Vintage notes

The 2013 growing season in the Pemberton wine region was consistent and warm allowing for an even ripening of all varieties. The Pinot Noir is sourced from a 15-year-old single vineyard in the heart of Pemberton where cool nights and long, warm days are preferred for developing the delicate flavours in a variety that is best suited to cooler climates. The fruit was 100% de-stemmed to a small open fermenter and cold soaked for two days before being fermented with a Burgundy yeast strain. Following fermentation the wine was left on lees for a further nine months in 30% new and 70% two-year-old French oak.
